A Time

There was a time
when no man walked the earth.

All was void, without form.
Only You God of Heaven
was and is.

A time when the planets,
sun, moon, and stars
did not orbit with perfection
in tune with eachother
and You my Alpha and Omega.

Then You made it happen,
rivers flowed, trees rustled,
stars twinkled, and birds sang.
Everything pointed to You
and gave you glory
Lord of lords.

You made man in Your image
beautiful and complete
to serve and honar You.
In every walk of life
to give You our all.
Prince of peace.

Then hearts turned and fell
into the depths of sin and despair.
Breaking the precious bond
between You and man
Leaving you broken hearted
Lover of my soul.

Even then You had a plan.
Perfect in every way
To save the world, once lost
and bring them new hope.
Everlasting and Unchanging.

Beautiful Flower

I look at you

 through this small window.

You stand one among many

yet you seem so alone.

I wish I could stand beside you.

I watch you with wonder

when the storms come

and the wind pushes you

this way and that.

I wish I could shelter you.

I am in awe

when the sun shines on your face

I see a smile

in the twinkle of your eye.

I wish I could hold you.

I see the sun go down

you hang your head

and the twinkle seems to fade

from the apple of your eye.

Still you are my beautiful flower.

No Words

It’s been an hour

the candles are fading

and still I can’t think

of what to say.

Many words and thoughts

run through my head

yet none seem right

not for you.

I close my eyes

my mind pictures your face.

I open my mouth to speak

but words will not come.

Your smile fades

and I feel I have hurt you

on the verge of tears

I put my arms around you.

Now I realize

what must be said

cannot be said

with a simple word.

phobia of…a vacuum-cleaner?

You are reading correctly, I did discover yesterday I am terrified of my vacuum cleaner. I was vacuuming my bedroom, something got stuck in the vacuum cleaner and I thought it was going to blow up on me. I was scared to vacuum the rest of my room, I freaked every time the thing made a sound. Other than its usual sucking sound of course. However I got over it and was able to clean the rest of my room. Perhaps next time I’ll make sure there aren’t any thumb tacks left lying around before I start vacuuming.

Old Clay

Here is the story

of a heart-shaped vessel.

Brought to the Potter

broken and shattered.

So there there the peices lay

in the palm of the Potter’s hand.

waiting to be thrown away

useless and unwanted.

But the Potter closed His hand

bringing the pieces together.

He molded them

making the vessel new.

Out of old clay

once empty and bruised.

The Potter created a master piece

complete and beautiful.

This is the story

of a heart once deep in sin

filled with pain and misery,

Now made new through grace.
