"I still love the way a good book is able to take me away from reality and take me to another world. For me, reading is not just picking up a book, it’s getting into the book."

I like this quote. Reading is indeed able to take you away from reality and to another world, but it also has the power to give you a wider perspective of reality, including the reality of other people in various parts of the world who may be living very different lives than you, and thus to give you a deeper understanding of our own world. And if you really get 'into a book', as you say, you can learn all sorts of things. I'm glad to hear you really like to engage (get into) literature. Keep it up!

Remember what we discussed earlier today about reading as well? The more you read, the better your writing will also become. You can absorb not only the stories, but also the various tricks, techniques and styles used. Great start, by the way.

You play guitar? That is so cool. I've always wanted to learn that... or flute... I do play piano though. *grins* My great interests in life are probably also books, writing and my piano. Also, computers. And rainstorms. *grins*

I have always wanted to play the piano, I even taught myself some siple songs at one point but I never kept it up. Even though we have an organ at home I still don't play a lot. I'm much too occupied with my guitar and my trumpet. (I've played the trupet since grade six, so almost six years.) Good luck with the piano.

Ah. You play guitar as well. That's very cool. I have been playing the guitar for about 3-4 years. My next goal is to learn the piano.
